Written by Dr. William Render, a German native who settled in England. He was a translator, tutor, and travel writer.
Condition
In half calf with marbled boards. Externally very smart with rubbing to extremities and boards resulting in slight loss to leather. Hinges very slightly strained but firm. Internally firmly bound. Pages bright and clean with just the odd spot, slightly heavier to first and last few pages. Ink spill to page 167 of volume 1, not impacting the text.
