A fascinating historical and topographical work on the county of Middlesex, containing detailed descriptions of areas in the county in alphabetical order, from Ashford to Uxbridge. Written by noted antiquarian and topographer Daniel Lysons, author of 'The Environs of London'. This work was intended as a follow up to 'The Environs of London', in which the author wanted to include topographical information about parishes that were left out of his previous work.
Bound in contemporary half calf with marbled paper to the boards, re-backed. Retaining original endpapers.

Bound in contemporary half calf with marbled paper to the boards, re-backed. Retaining original endpapers. Externally very smart with slight wear to the extremities of the boards. Bookplate of 'George Harcourt' to the front pastedown, with a very minimal tidemark to the rear endpapers. Internally firmly bound with bright pages with light spotting.
