In full calf bindings. Major rubbing to back strips and board perimeters. Small losses of leather to back strip heads and tails. Joints of volume I starting. Rear joint of volume I tenderly held to head only, with front board firmly held. Hinges of volume II strained but firmly held. Bookplates to front pastedowns. Internally, firmly bound. Pages exceptionally clean and bright.
