The work of Arthur Young, an English agriculturalist known for his various writings on the subject, as well as his travel works. Despite not being a successful farmer himself, Young built up a reputation as an expert on agricultural improvement.
This particular work presents a view of agricultural practices in Suffolk, compiled by Young when he was secretary of the Board of Agriculture, for consideration of the board to make improvements. Young was appointed to this role in 1793, spending the following years preparing surveys to try and bring change to farming practices.

Condition
Rebound in half cloth with marbled paper-covered boards, with the endpapers and blanks renewed and the half title discarded. Externally, lovely. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean, with the occasional mark or spot.
