Dated by the plates which are dated 1796 to Thomas Gray and 1797 to Samuel Johnson, and by copies held institutionally.
Condition
Bound in full calf. Externally sound with rubbing to the extremities, joints and spine, bumping to the extremities, front joint starting, fading to the spine and loss to the spine labels. Offsetting to the extremities of the endpapers with a past owner's name in ink to the front free endpaper. Internally firmly bound with age toned and generally clean pages with the odd spot.
