'The Rural Economy of Norfolk' and 'The Rural Economy of the Midland Counties', both complete in two volumes.

Uniformly bound in half calf with marbled paper covered boards. Lacking the half titles.

Written by notable agricultural writer William Marshall, who published six studies on the farming practices of different regions of England from 1788 to 1798. Known for his innovative and practical teachings, Marshall's studies remain important historical resources on English agriculture. This set contains the volumes covering Norfolk and the Midlands.

Complete with a folding map to volume I of 'Norfolk' and another folding map to volume I of 'Midlands'.

Condition

Bound in half calf with marbled paper covered boards. Lacking half titles. Endpapers and blanks renewed. Externally, very good, with rubbing to the extremities and boards. Spine has been rebacked and laid down to Midland volumes. Rubbing to joints causing cracking to the joints of vol I Norfolk, with these hinges strained, moreso to the front. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean, with the odd mark or spot. Light spots to maps, with a closed tear to Norfolk map crease.
