A historical account of the city of Bristol, as well as Hotwell, which at the time that this work was written had not yet been absorbed as a neighbourhood of Bristol. Including a discussion on the medicinal water of Hotwell, and a description of Clifton.
Illustrated with a folding plate to the frontispiece, and one plate. Collated, complete.

Condition
In a full marbled calf binding. Externally, a little worn. Front joint and hinge are strained, rear joint and hinge are starting. Rubbing to the boards and spine, resulting in a small amount of loss. Light marks to the boards. Crack to the backstrip. Loss to the spine label. Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto of the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and generally clean with scattered spots, spotting heavier to the final few pages.
