Illustrated with a portrait frontispiece and twelve bills of fare. Collated, complete. 

An impressively detailed culinary work, with sections devoted to pies, puddings, soups and sauces. Recipes include walnut water, Scotch Collops, damson wine, and hare pie.

Bound in modern quarter vellum with patterned paper to the boards.

Bound in modern quarter vellum with patterned paper to the boards. Endpapers renewed. Externally excellent with only slight marks to the spine. Internally firmly bound with very minimal age toning and the odd minor spot or mark. Past owner's ink notations to the front.
