Scarce collection. One of the popular dramatic collections of the late 18th century including; The Gamester: A Tragedy, The Distrest Mother, & The Earl of Essex. Illustrated with frontispiece and 5 plates. Written by Edward Moore, an English dramatist, miscellaneous writer, and the son of a dissenting minister.

Condition

Rebound in quarter red calf with marbled boards. Externally, a trifle rubbed with light shelf wear and bumping to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with light age toning. Previous owner's bookplate to the front pastedown.
