Boston was a Scottish Presbyterian church leader, a man of singular piety who is best known for his 1720 work 'Human Nature in Its Fourfold State'.

Condition
In a full calf binding. Externally, a little rubbed. Minor bumping to the extremities, and to the head and tail of the spine. A few light marks to the boards. Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto of the front endpaper. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and generally clean.
