This volume contains all January to June 1790 issues of this prominent monthly periodical, which has been termed the 'pinnacle of eighteenth-century Irish literary magazines'.
Illustrated with a general frontispiece and title page, and with a further ten engraved plates and eleven folding plates, many of which are double sided. These plates feature thirty-three images in total. Collated, complete.
Including numerous folding plates of musical notes.
Rebound, with endpapers renewed.
Stories and articles in this volume include 'Leocadia, A Spanish History', 'Letters Respecting Barbary', 'Theogenes and Charides: An Historical Romance', and 'Observations on the Docility of Animals'.
Condition
Rebound in quarter morocco, with paper covered boards. Externally, fine. Endpapers renewed. Evidence of bookplate removal to front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages lightly age toned due to paper type, with instances of light spotting and handling marks.
