Complete in two volumes. The fifth edition. Uncommon Dublin printing. William Cowper was an English poet and one of the most popular poets of his time. He is sometimes considered a forerunner to Romantic poetry, as he wrote widely of everyday life in the English countryside.
Condition
In full calf bindings. Externally, rubbed, with some loss to the leather. Loss to head and tail of spines. Ink signature to front free-endpaper of the second volume with pencil inscription to rear blank. Internally, binding strained in places. Pages generally bright and clean with just the occasional spot.
