What Our Customers Say...

Description

Early Edition, Leather Binding

The second edition of this work, which was first published in 1741.

Robinson emphasises the importance of local customs in shaping the laws of the county of Kent, and covers a wide range of topics, including property law and contracts.

The 'Customs of Gravelking' referred to in the title was a form of inheritance common in the Saxon era, but was gradually supplanted by primogeniture after 1066.

ESTC Citation No. T100119

Errata to the rear.

Loosely inserted is an advertisement for an 1858 new edition of this work.

With an appendix on 'the customs of Borough-English' to the rear of the work, this is a wonderfully informative text.
