Written by Thomas Mawe, John Abercrombie, and other gardeners. Abercrombie, who also taught botany at the University of Cambridge, is best known for this work.

The eleventh edition of this work, published twenty years after the first edition.

Condition

In a full calf binding. Externally, a little rubbed. Bumping has resulted in a small amount of loss to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Tear to the tail of the spine. Light marks to the boards and spine. Small tears to the head and tail of the joints. Hinges are starting but firm. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and generally clean with scattered spots. Small tidemark to the frontispiece.
