The first edition of this very scarce work.
A volume collecting eight charming canzonets, put to music and "peculiarly adapted" for ladies. Including "How bless is a Soldier: when lifted to rove", "How Calm! Eliza are these Groves", "This Bow'r, that Fancy form'd so fair", "Sylvia wou'd you know the passion", "Rife my Soul on Wings on fire!", "Oh! happy state, when Souls each other draw", "Myra be kind, as thou art fair", and "Ah! gentle Zephyr, ah! if e'er".
For the accompaniment of a pianoforte or harp.

Condition
In a half calf binding with marbled paper to the boards, with renewed endpapers. Externally, smart. Very light rubbing to the spine and extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and generally clean with scattered spots and handling marks.
