Rebound in full morocco, with slipcase. 

Front blanks, rear endpapers and title page laid down. Front endpapers renewed. 

Volume four of The Connoisseur, a short lived newspaper, created by George Colman the Elder and parodist Bonnell Thornton. Contributors included William Cowper and Robert Lloyd, with the periodical running between 1754 and 1756.

Condition

Rebound in modern morocco in slipcase. Externally in lovely condition. Slipcase is in lovely condition. Internally firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean. Front blank and title page laid down and front free endpaper renewed. Rear endpapers and blanks laid down. Contemporary ink inscriptions to preliminary leaves, including title page. The odd spot and handling mark.
