First Edition, Rebound, Very Scarce

The first edition of this very scarce work.

In the original French. 

A comical play published upon the centenary of the death of Moliere, a play in one act which was performed at Versailles on the 18th February 1773. 

By Jean-Baptiste Artaud, who was royal censor and secretary to the Duke of Duras.

Condition

Bound in paper covered boards. Externally, generally smart, with light rubbing and marks to the boards and spine. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Ink to the front board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with a few scattered spots.
