The first edition of this very scarce work, which gathers together papers submitted to members of the university.
The introduction explains that the suggested alternative of requiring students to sign up to the thirty-nine articles of the Church of England is that students should provide 'either a verbal or written Declaration that the matriculated person will conform to the worship of the Church of England'.

With a small ink inscription to the half title head.
Condition
Unbound, as issued. Significant handling marks to first and final leaf. Edgewear to fore edge of first few leaves. Minor hole towards tail of half title. Ink inscription to title page head. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright, with only the odd spot.
