A sammelband of seven eighteenth century plays written by the likes of David Garrick, Isaac Bickerstaff, and Thomas Hull. The plays are a mix of dramatic, comic, tragic and romantic tales, including David Garrick's five-act stage opera, which tells the story of a prince who falls in love with a poor shepherdhess.
Condition
Bound in half calf with marbled paper to the boards. Externally, hinges cracked but remaining firm due to re-enforcements, with rubbing to the boards, and light rubbing to the extremities and joints. The odd spot to the endpapers. Internally, firmly bound with bright and generally clean pages, with occasional tidemarks to the tails of the pages.
