Produced by linguistics scholar Louis de Poix, the founder and president of the Parisian Capuchin Societe des Etudes Orientales.
With the bookplate of Ronald Lindsay to the front pastedown. Sir Ronald Charles Lindsay was a British civil servant and diplomat. He held several important posts, including Minister Plenipotentiary to France, Ambassador to Turkey and later Germany, Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, before becoming the Ambassador to the United States. Lindsay married twice, first to Martha Cameron, and after her death, to Elizabeth Sherman Hoyt.

In a full calf binding, with gilt detailing to spine. Joints starting, with boards holding firm. Rubbing to board perimeters. Armorial bookplate to front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright, with light tidemark to tail of pages xxvi to 2.
