Nathaniel Crouch was an English printer and bookseller who wrote under the pseudonym Richard Burton, or R.B. He was considered a poor historian, borrowing heavily from other works and publishing them as his own works under his imprint. He was widely denounced by historians of the following centuries, including Samuel Butler and Alexander Pope, although he is now regarded as a figure of interest in the development of historiography.
