This uncommon set contains five plays and several poems by the eighteenth century dramatist Alexis Piron. Published in French, with seven plates across the set, collated and complete The present set includes his comedy, l'Ecole des Peres, and four tragedies; Callisthene, Les Courses de Tempe, Gustava-Vasa, and Fernand-Cortes, along with various poems and a song with music notation.
Condition
Rebound in a contemporary paperback binding. Externally, sound. The patterned paper is a rather rubbed and faded. There is a little loss of wrap to the tail of all volumes, worst to volume II. Volume I is missing a bit of wrap and spine label to the head of the spine. With some edgewear across the set. Internally, generally firmly bound with remarkably bright and clean pages.
