Illustrated with monochrome steel engraved frontispieces by Bartolozzi. 

This memoirs of George Anne Bellamy, which are believed to have been ghost written by Alexander Bicknell from Bellamy's notes. Bellamy was an Irish eighteenth century actress, best known for her leading roles at the Theatre Royal, including her role as Juliette in Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Juliette'. 

Bound in full tree calf.

Condition

Bound in full calf. Externally worn with staining to the spines, rubbing to the extremities and joints, with joints tender to all. Bookplate to front pastedowns. Internally, binding firm. Tidemarks to the fronts of the works, heaviest to 'Vol 3' and '4'. Pages generally bright with spotting to the rear blanks.
