A very scarce work.
An abridgement of Francois-Antoine Pomey's 1694 work 'The Pantheon'. This work details the principle Gods and figures within the mythologies of ancient Rome and Greece, and remained an important textbook on mythology for over a century.
This is an educational volume, presenting the text in both English and Latin, printed in double columns with English to the left and Latin to the right.

Condition
In a quarter calf binding with marbled paper to the boards. Externally, smart. Light rubbing to the boards, mostly to the extremities. Front hinge is starting but firm. Endpapers have been renewed. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and clean, with a few scattered spots and handling marks. Lacking pages v-viii. Loss to the head of pages 17-20, pages working loose.
