    Illustrated, Leather Binding

    The eighteenth edition.

    Bound in full calf, with the boards rebacked.

    Written by William Mather.

    An influential guide compiled for the usage of young men, containing useful information on writing, arithmetic, book-keeping, geography, gardening, hiring tradespeople, and much more.

    With tables of interest and lists of fairs in England and Wales.

    Illustrated with a frontispiece and vignette illustrations, as well as four pages of alphabet characters in roundhand and Italian styles. Collated, complete. 

    With three pages of publisher's advertisements.

    Condition

    Bound in full calf, with the boards rebacked. Endpapers renewed and blanks and half title discarded. Externally, very good, with rubbing to boards and extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright, with light scattered spotting and the odd mark. Tables towards the rear are a little closely trimmed, with text still all present, apart from a little loss to the head of the final leaf of advertisements.
