A collection of tracts, entitled: Primitive Antiquary Explained and Vindicated - Being Remarks on a Book Intitled, Christianity as Old as the Creation (Parts One and Two); Remarks on a Letter to Dr. Waterland, In Relation to the Natural Account of Languages; Phlegon Examined Critically and Impartially In Answer to the Late Dissertation and Defence of Dr. Sykes; and Phlegon Re-Examined in Answer to Dr. Sykes's Second Defence of his Dissertation. Written by John Chapman, an English cleric and scholar.
Condition
Bound in full modern cloth. Externally, very smart with light wear and the odd mark to the cloth. Library markings to the tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound with original front free endpaper lacking. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot and light age toning to the extremities. Library blind stamp to the title page and final page, with contemporary ink inscriptions to the rear free endpaper. Library bookplates to the pastedowns with the binders ink stamp to the front pastedown.
