    First Edition, Leather Binding

    The first and only edition of this work. 

    Bound in full calf, with decorative blind-stamping to the boards and spine.

    With an engraved frontispiece. Collated, complete. 

    Containing an overview of laws and customs of the city, including those that apply to mayors, sheriffs, town-clerks and all other officers. Also with a 1736 survey of the city's bounds, measured by boundary stones used on the Gloucester side and Somersetshire side.

    Condition

    Bound in full calf, with decorative blind-stamping to the boards and spine. Externally, with slight rubbing and scuffs and marks to the extremities, otherwise smart. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are toned, with scattered spotting throughout. Contemporary ink inscriptions to the front free endpaper and front paste down.
