Jacques Ozman was a celebrated mathematician, who published many works which were translated into English such as his Recreations. He also published trigonometric and logarithmic tables which were more accurate than existing ones.
Condition
In a contemporary full calf binding. Rebacked, with the original boards preserved. Externally, very smart. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright. Former owner's inscription to the title page, dated 1800. Their last name has been excised. Small hole to the rear endpaper. Publisher's imprint darted 1713 has been pasted to the rear pastedown.
