Collated, lacking the final four leaves, which contained a list of knights, citizens, burgesses, and barons of the Cinque-Ports, that were returned to serve in the Parliament.
An interesting pamphlet containing the proceedings of the House of Commons in March 1681, relating to the Popish Plot.
This work includes the speeches of lawyer William Williams, the examinations of conspirator Edward Fitzharris, who was later executed, and priest John Sergeant, and more.
The Popish Plot was a fictitious conspiracy formed by Titus Oates, in which he alleges that there was a Catholic conspiracy to assassinate Charles II. This led to a fraught anti-Catholic hysteria in England and Scotland. At least 22 men were executed on Oates' accusations.

Unbound pamphlet, as issued. Leaves are age-toned with some light marks, marks heavier to the advertisement leaf and the final leaf of text. Tidemark to the tail of the text. Advertisement leaf and title page are detaching a little to the tail.
