This edition was edited by the author's son Johannes Buxtorf II. He became embroiled in a controversy with Louis Cappell due to the ideas included in this work.

Rebound in paper covered boards. Externally, smart. Some light marks to the boards. Spine is a little rubbed. Minor bumping to the extremities. Spine is amateurly painted. Prior owner's ink inscription to the front paste down. Ink inscription to the recto of the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are age-toned with some spotting. Ink marks to the title page. Pencil notes to the margins. Tide mark to the tail of the gutter of the text, and to the fore edge of pages 55 to the end of the text. Title page has been reinforced.
