What Our Customers Say...

Description

Illustrated, Leather Binding, Very Scarce

First published in 1648, these works are very scarce in all editions, and are here 'corrected and enlarged according to the author's own manuscripts'.

Present here are all five books, bound in two volumes, as is customary with this edition. Each book bears an individual title page, with an additional half title to the start of each volume.

The collected works of biblical scholar Joseph Mede, a naturalist and Egyptologist, a Lecturer of Greek, and the author of 'Clavis Apocalyptica' (which is present in this collection), an influential interpretation of the Book of Revelation. It projected the end of the world by 1716, and posited that the Jews would be miraculously converted to Christianity before the second coming.

He held Arminian theological views.
