Collated, complete.

A collection of Epicurus's moral teachings, collected partly from his own Greek text, and artly out of the writings of Marcus Antonius, Plutarch, Cicero and Seneca. With topics including Friendship, Fortitude, Modesty, and more.

Translated by natural philosopher and author, Walter Charleton, with 'An Apologie for Epicurus' to the front.

Condition

Bound in full calf. Externally, worn with rubbing and damp staining to the boards. Loss to the spine head and chipping to spine label. Lacking paper covering paste downs. Free endpapers are chipped, with areas of loss. Bookplate to front paste down. Hinges are strained. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are cockled due to water damage, with tide marks and a few areas of spotting. A little loss to the extremities of the frontispiece.
