The work of Thomas Brooks, a seventeenth-century English Puritan known for his sermons and devotional writings. This was his first, and perhaps his most well-known work, in which he equips Christians to recognize and resist the subtle schemes of the devil.
Brooks identifies the tools used by Satans to lead men to temptation, and includes numerous spiritual, godly exercises and prayers used to defend against temptation and Satanic lies.
